Nine Mile Canyon
Nine Mile Canyon, approximately 40 miles (64 km) long, locates in the counties of Carbon and Duchesne in eastern Utah, in the Western United States. Promoted as ‘the world’s longest art gallery’, the canyon is known for its 60+ extensive rock art sites stretching the length of the canyon, that were mostly created by the Fremont culture and the Ute people. The rock art, shelters, and granaries left behind by the Fremont, make Nine Mile Canyon a destination for archaeologists and tourists alike.
A large freshwater lake in the Sierra Nevada of the United States. It straddles the state line between California and Nevada, west of Carson City. The south shore is dominated by the lake's largest city, South Lake Tahoe, California, which adjoins the town of Stateline, Nevada, while Tahoe City, California, is located on the lake's northwest shore.
